A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has called on party members to put aside personal interests and work together to strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party leader stressed that unity remains the APC’s greatest asset if it hopes to reclaim political dominance in Oyo State. According to him, internal divisions and personal ambitions could weaken the party’s chances of mounting a successful challenge in the next electoral cycle.
He urged stakeholders, aspirants and supporters to embrace dialogue, reconciliation and collective responsibility, noting that the party’s success depends on its ability to present a united front rather than engage in prolonged internal disputes.
The APC chieftain also encouraged members to support efforts aimed at rebuilding confidence within the party and expanding its grassroots presence across the state. He maintained that every member has a role to play in repositioning the APC as a credible alternative for the people of Oyo.
Speaking on preparations for the 2027 elections, he advised aspirants to pursue their ambitions with respect for the party’s constitution and internal democratic processes. He warned against actions capable of creating unnecessary factions or undermining the party’s leadership.
He expressed optimism that with sustained reconciliation, discipline and cooperation among members, the APC would be better positioned to compete effectively and achieve success in Oyo State during the 2027 general elections.
