Since the first philanthropist, e-commerce billionaire Jack Ma made a donation of medical materials to Africa to support the fight against COVID-19, several wealthy individuals and businesses have risen up to pledge billions to the country.

Also, First Bank announced on Monday, through an advert sent to its subscribers, that it is also pledging 1 billion naira to help fight coronavirus in the country.

The total amount donated to Nigeria to fight COVID-19 as at 31st of March, 2020 is 26 billion, 60 million seven hundred thousand naira.
