Oyo state govt sets up security joint force base to curb kidnapping at borders with Ogun

According to report reaching oyogist.com, Oyo state government has set up security joint force base to curb kidnapping at borders with Ogun state.

The base allows the security team to monitor movements of people and nab the kidnappers and criminals that frequently cause mayhem in this area.

The Governor took to his verified twitter handle to disclose this;

His tweets read: “Today, we inspected the newly established Oyo State Security Joint Force Base at Mamu Village on the Oyo/Ogun States border. This pilot project implements one of the decisions taken at the Oyo State Security Task Force meeting on March 15 to secure our state’s entry/exit points.”

“The Security Joint Force is made up of officers of the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps. We donated 9 operational vehicles for their use. Also, CCTV cameras have been installed in the area which are monitored from the Security Control Room.”
