Oyogist.com has learned that the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission, NBC has Suspended popular News network, Channels TV for Interviewing the PRO of the Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB).
The mega channel was also issued a N5 million naira fine.
In a letter issued to the Managing Director of Channels Television signed by the Acting Director General of the Commission, NBC, Prof. Armstrong Idachaba, the Commission referred to Channels 7pm live broadcast programme of Sunday, 25th April, 2021, in which the TV station allowed a leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB to make incitfull comments on air without adequate proof to back his claims.
Nigerians have not taken the decision lightly as they demanded that the decision by NBC be reversed.
