Former NBA chairman Reacts To Senator Ali Ndume’s Comment On N140 billion National Assembly Budget

Following an interview with Senator Ali Ndume on Channels TV, where he said that the budget of 140 billion naira for the National Assembly was inconsequential to the Nigerian Economy, Barrister Monday Onyekachi Ubani, a former NBA Chairman has reacted, oyogist.com reports.

Barrister Monday Onyekachi Ubani who is the Principal Partner of the law firm Ubani and co, and a former Chairman of largest branch of the Nigeria Bar Association, Ikeja branch.

He served as the chairman of the branch for 2 years from year 2012 to 2014 where he showcased his leadership and activism.

He was obviously provoked by the assertion of Senator Ali Ndume representing Borno South senatorial constituency, that the 140 billion naira budgeted for the National Assembly has no effect on Nigeria’s economy.

He expressed his disgust via his tweeting stating ” Senator Ndume really provoked me tonight when he said on Channels Tv tonight that a budget of about 140billion naira of National Assembly has no effect on Nigeria’s economy.”

He further tweeted that “Is this man joking or being deceptive? Very disheartening.”
