According to report reaching OYOGist.com, Jean-Michel Blanquer, the Education Minister of France has today being Friday confirmed that twenty-two (22) schools have been shutdown as a result of the rise in coronavirus cases. He added that over half of the cases were in the Indian Ocean island of La Reunion.

He in his presentation with Europe1Radio expressed how pleased he had been considering how school has progressed since children resumed earlier on Tuesday.

According to Blanquer, up to one hundred and thirty (130) coronavirus classes have been halted within schools and he assured that the authorities were checking around 250 incidents related to Coronavirus in schools every day.

He added that the incidents are mainly linked to “factors outside school concerning people who could have been contaminated over the summer”.

According to sources, France is currently experiencing a surge in coronavirus cases with over 7,150 new cases reported earlier this Thursday.

While France takes adequate measures to contain her situation with schools and students, other countries are closely watching and studying so as to be able to contain such situations if they do rage.
