Former Lagos Governor Bola Tinubu is not only a leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), he’s also a father figure in Nigeria – even to opposition parties – Governor Yahaya Bello has said.
The Kogi State Governor, who spoke Friday on Channels Television, was having his say on the recent development in the ruling APC.
“Asiwaju remains the pioneer of our party; he is the establishing individual from our gathering. No one, regardless of [how] exceptionally or modest set, can sabotage the situation of Asiwaju in this nation,” Bello said.
“He has been assuming a protective job in Nigeria and that is the reason you can see that both APC and PDP individuals are floating towards him for guidance and his supposition on national and political party issues,” he included.
Governor Bello additionally uncovered that in any event ten governors of the Peoples Democratic Party will join the APC “very soon”.
“APC is waxing more stronger. It won’t crumble. We are going to practice our purpose in Edo, Ondo, Anambra and Ekiti states. We are more grounded than previously.
“It’s awful that our associate, my sibling and my in-law, Obaseki [Edo State Governor] has left us, however as a party and a party steadfast man, we need to recover him.
“I can reveal to you that there are up to 10 PDP governors prepared to join APC and that would happen very soon,” Bello said.
He included: “What existed in the APC over the most recent couple of weeks was a misconception among individuals communicating in various manners and the pioneer of our party, the president of the country, President Muhammadu Buhari came in and assembled the kids and has tended to the issue.”
