Governor Ademola  of Osun state has officially commissioned the highly anticipated Lameco Flyover in Osogbo.

According to the Governor, this landmark project is just the opening act of a massive wave of infrastructure renewal aimed at completely revitalizing the state.

The 672-meter, four-span flyover isn’t just a win for commuters—it is a proud moment for Nigerian ingenuity. Built under the close supervision of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and COREN, the bridge was completely designed and executed by indigenous engineers using locally sourced materials.

Governor Adeleke heavily praised this local content approach, stating:

“We have proven to the whole world that our local engineers can perform to world-class standards. The Lameco Flyover is proof that when resources and people are well managed, good governance is the outcome.”

The Specs: What Makes The Lameco Flyover Special?

Designed to fully ease traffic congestion and boost economic activities around the Osogbo metropolis, the bridge is fully equipped with modern safety features:

 Dual carriageways (5.5 meters each) built to support all categories of vehicles.

 Solar-powered streetlights and traffic signals for 24/7 visibility.

 Reflective road studs (“cat’s eyes”) to maximize night-time safety.

This mega-project isn’t a standalone success, either. The administration revealed that it has already laid down over 27 kilometers of intra-city roads in Osogbo alone, alongside more than 300 kilometers of roads spanning the wider Osun State.
