Covid-19: Oyo Youngest Commissioner Speaks After Testing Positive For COVID-19

The Honourable Commissioner for Youths and Sports in Oyo State, Seun Fakorede has spoken for the first time after testing positive for coronavirus pandemic two days ago.

It would be recalled that Governor Seyi Makinde had announced some few days ago that three members of his cabinet tested positive for the virus.

Seun Fakorede, who is the youngest Commissioner in the state said he never had an inkling that his test result would return positive because according to him, he was and still remains asymptomatic.

He furthered that he had always been careful since the the index case of the virus was announced in Nigeria despite the demands of his office.

He then called on his numerous followers to keep adhering to the COVID-19 protocols given by the state task force so as to minimize the spread of the virus in the society. He also appreciated the effort of his principal, Seyi Makinde, in combatting the pandemic in the pacesetter state.

Fakorede said he would be in isolation until he tests negative for the virus. He expressed optimism that he would soon recover from the ailment.
