Former aide to President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri has stirred another controversy in his daily Reno’s nuggets when he said that the those who speak with sophisticated vocabulary and grammar are the least intelligent people, a position which is highly debatable.
He said “Those who speak big grammar are the least intelligent people. Intelligent people use short, clear and precise words. They think it is meant for impressing rather than communicating. Also, they use it to try to hide their intellectual shallowness.
Language is like water. The clearer water is, the purer it is and the more people drink it. But if you use highfalutin grammar, you make water become cloudy, and the less people are willing to drink it. Serve people clear water and they will drink”.
He went further to counsel parents on setting good examples for their children and also for intending couples on marriage
“Your kids are watching you as you go to your own parents funeral to say good things about your parents that you never said in their lifetimes. And they are learning a lesson. They won’t appreciate you too until you die. Teach them a better lesson
