According to reports reaching OYOGist.com, the United States has issued an order suspending Chinese passenger planes from flying to America from 16th of June, 2020.

According to reports, the Department of Transportation said the ban was a response to the “failure” of China to “permit U.S. carriers to exercise the full extent of their bilateral right to conduct scheduled passenger air services to China and from China.

America complained that China didn’t allowed its carriers to resume flights to the country after they put all flights to the country on hold due to COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. Joel Szabat who is the Transportation Department’s top aviation official was one of those who signed the formal order.

America noted that China has refused to say when it will revise its rules as to allow U.S. carriers to reinstate scheduled passenger flights to the country and out of the country.

This order by US is applied to Air China (601111.SS), China Eastern Airlines Corp, China Southern Airlines Co (600029.SS) and Hainan Airlines Holding Co (600221.SS), as well as smaller Sichuan Airlines Co and Xiamen Airlines Co.

It says that Chinese carriers have continued U.S. flights during the pandemic continuously which has made US to asked Delta Air Lines (DAL.N) and United Airlines (UAL.O) , to resume flights to China this month.

There are hopes that the Chinese Government will allow these US airlines carriers to resume flight to the country due to US ban.
