Nigerians react to govt banning okadas in Lagos

I agree with banning bikes on certain roads in Lagos, but a blanket ban on bikes in Lagos without a corresponding provision of alternative forms of mass transit is looking to solve a problem with a solution that creates even more problems.

I also don’t know this Nigerian governments obsession with always putting the cart before the horse. Good intentions aren’t enough if you don’t understand that you can’t look to solve complex problems with simplistic solutions.

Except you proffer a solution to the most difficult part of living in Lagos, it is blatant foolishness to frustrate the one that is working.
He wants to know what’s more responsible for accidents? Trucks, articulated vehicles, potholes, Lastma, SARS

The ripple effect of this ban; riders lose their job, riders management staff in the organizations listed above will most likely lose their jobs too.
