Yoruba activist and socialite, Chief Sunday Igboho has apologized to the first class Yoruba monarch, Ooni Of Ife, for using denigrating words on him yesterday.

The activist said he did not mean to insult the traditional ruler and only made those utterances in the heat of the moment, and thereby tenders an apology and seeks forgiveness from the royal father.

OYOGist.com recalls that Chief Sunday Igboho had berated the Ooni of Ife for paying a visit to President Buhari while he fought against Fulani herdsmen in Yorubaland. He accused the monarch of accepting money (dollars) from the President, and called him a “slave to the Fulani herders.”

Sunday Igboho also attacked other Yoruba elders as well as the Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde, for not acting enough on the Fulani herdsmen issue.
