The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has uploaded approximately 35 per cent of polling unit results from the 2026 Ekiti State governorship election to its Results Viewing Portal (IReV), as collation of votes continues across the state.

The commission said the gradual upload of results reflects its commitment to transparency and accountability in the electoral process. The IReV platform allows members of the public, political parties, election observers, and other stakeholders to view scanned copies of polling unit result sheets in real time.

Election officials have continued to upload results from polling units as they are received, while collation is ongoing at designated centres across the state. INEC urged the public to remain patient as more results are expected to appear on the portal as the process progresses.

The governorship election witnessed the participation of voters across the state’s 16 local government areas, with reports indicating that voting was largely peaceful despite minor logistical challenges in some locations.

Political parties and election observers have been closely monitoring the upload process, describing the IReV platform as an important tool for promoting openness and enhancing public confidence in the electoral system.

INEC reiterated that the results displayed on the portal are for public viewing, while the official declaration of the election outcome will be made only after the completion of the collation process in accordance with the Electoral Act.
