OYOGist.com has learned that the Nigerian National League side Vandrezzer Football Club of Ibiono have reportedly made history as the first Nigerian football team to deploy a wearable GPS tracker for its players.
Vandrezzer FC is one of the very few teams offering professionalism in the Nigerian domestic league. They have one the best training kits despite playing in the lower division of the country’s football league.
The GPS tracker is known to be widely deployed by elite clubs across Europe and the United Kingdom, the wearable GPS tracker also known as activity tracker or fitness tracker, is a device or application for monitoring and tracking fitness related metrics such as distance walked or run, calorie consumption, and in some cases heartbeat of players.
