According to report reaching oyogist.com, the Oyo state Governor, Seyi Makinde has reported revealed how he missed the opportunity of having a last moment encounter with his mother.
According to Governor Seyi Makinde, he said he had earlier promised to pay his mother a visit during the weekend immediately after the Ondo elections but he was unable to fulfill his promise to his mother.
He also revealed that he was unable to pick his mother’s call due to the fact that he feared that wasn’t going to be able to see her as she wanted him to do because he was out of town.
Governor Makinde made this known during the service of songs held at The Archade of the Oyo state Government House, Agodi, Ibadan. The event was held as part of the funeral rights of his late mother, Mrs. Abigail Makinde.
Gov. Makinde noted that he’s still in shock after loosing his mother to what he described as an ‘untimely death’.
