Tiny pill in the form of cameras that are usually swallowed have proved effective in filming tumours in the gut which could help trace cancer cells, Oyogist.com reports.
The pill also aids in locating early signs of bowel cancer without carrying out hospital procedures involving the use of tubes.
According to an England Professor supervising the NHS cancer clinic, Peter Johnson suggests that the new technology will help save lives, as he describes the camera test as a better option rather than waiting for a normal colonoscopy.”
