Pastor Tunde Bakare has warned Yoruba elders to desists from plotting against Tinubu, reminding them that he (Tinubu) has his past and has laboured to urge to where he’s today.
Tunde Bakare, the senior pastor of Citadel Global Community Church in Lagos, has said Bola Tinubu, a statesman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has fought and won many battles on behalf of the Yoruba people.
Mr Bakare said this recently while preaching at the Lagos citadel church, during a sermon tagged ‘An Idle Man’s Brain is that the Devil’s Workshop,’ The Cable newspaper reported.
The preacher described Mr Tinubu as Jephthah within the bible, saying despite the circumstances of his birth, he rose to power and delivered Lagos and most the Southwest states from the “onslaught of PDP.”
Mr Bakare said God doesn’t need anyone’s permission to place Mr Tinubu during a hall of fame as he has fought and won battles.
“Like Jephthah the Gileadite, he has fought many battles on behalf of the Yoruba people and won despite his rough beginning and God doesn’t need anybody’s permission to place such in his hall of fame despite their past deeds and ancestry.
“Despite his growing up challenges, the dents and therefore the detours of his life, he like Jephthah delivered Lagos State and nearly all the southwest states from the onslaught of the PDP from 1999 to 2007.
“Truth be told, without his cooperation and political dexterity, the APC victory at the polls in 2015 and 2019 would are impossible,” the preacher cum politician said.

I’m with Pastor Tunde Bakare on this. The Yorùbás need the support of Tinubu if they want to be free from the bondage of the Northern rule. He’s got all it takes to rescue the Southwest. True, he’s not an upright man. But the question is: Who is? People should just stop pointing accusing fingers at people wrongly and use their brains for once
