According to report reaching oyogist.com, a lawsuit has been filed by a construction company against the Federal Minister of transportation, Rotimi Amaechi for allegedly violating the Public Procurement Act in the award of the Port Harcourt/Maiduguri railway contract.

According to the firm, the suit was filed so as for the court to determine whether the Federal minister of transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, through the BPP had the right to issue a letter of no objection in favour of CCECC for the said contract.

The plaintiff claimed that the purported action by the minister denied other interested and capable firms the fairground to compete for the contract.
