According to report reaching oyogist.com, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Oyo state, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin has described the killing of Jimoh Isiaq, a protester of #ENDSARS in Ogbomoso as very unfortunate.

He said: “I received with great shock, and extreme disappointment, the unfortunate killing of an EndSARS protester, 23-year old Jimoh Isiaka, allegedly by men of the Nigerian Police, yesterday, in Ogbomoso.

“While the death of anyone is usually a sad event, and a reminder of the diminishing nature of our human existence, occurrence of same, particularly during a protest whose aim is in fact, to halt such acts, is even more condemnable.

“As a parent and lawyer, I find it hard that the Police will deploy extreme force in the face of peaceful, nonviolent and civil protests, and I can only urge the leadership of the Police to investigate this dastardly act, and bring perpetrators to justice.

“As I commiserate with the parents of the deceased, I urge them to take solace in the fact that their child, though cut in his prime, lived a worthy life, and is today a martyr for the good cause of a just, equitable, lawful and decent society devoid of police brutality and brazen human rights abuses.

“May Allah repose his soul and grant him Al-jannah Firdous.”
