Gunmen Attacks Former NDDC Director, Damages Car With Bullets

Former NDDC chief operating officer, Samuel Adjogbe, escaped on Saturday night. This was followed by an attack by a group of gunmen in his vehicle in the Ughelli area, Evwreni of Ogor, on the west-west side of Delta State.

However, nothing happened to him but his driver was shot in the head. Former director general of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Engineer Samuel Adjogbe on Saturday night jumped the well in the aftermath of a gun attack.

He confirmed the incident to The Nation in a mobile phone interview. He disclosed that they attacked him in Ughelli, Evwreni of Ogor on the west-west coast of Delta State. Adjogbe explained that bullets were fired on his vehicle at the Lexus 570, particularly in the driver’s seat but luckily it was not delivered. But one of the occupants of the vehicle, Samuel Adibor, was shot in the head.

He said Adibor is currently in a hospital where he is receiving medical help from Ughelli and they have reported to the police. He said: “We were attacked between Ughelli and Evwreni on our way to Ughelli at about 7:40 pm. My driver, Samuel Adibor, was shot in the head.” He is currently receiving assistance at a hospital in Ughelli. I respect the Lord and no life was lost. ”A source from the local police station confirmed the incident but police are on the case.

In a separate incident, we heard that at least one gunman lost his life while several others were injured when armed forces raided their base in Benue state. The head of the media, John Enenche, announced this in a letter to reporters on Sunday. He said the raids were carried out on Saturday and the troops successfully dispersed the insurgents with weapons.
