It is a confusion galore for the All Progressive Congress (APC) as four chairman stake claim for the position of national chairmanship of APC.
First on the list is the suspended national chairman of APC, Adams Oshiomhole who has maintained that he’s still the substantive chairman pending the judgement of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
Shortly after the announcement of Ajimobi as acting national chairman, deputy National secretary of the party, Victor Giadom declared himself as acting National chairman on the ground of an order of the High Court that earlier suspended Oshiomole.
Just as Nigerians were still in shock and waiting for the next line of action from the ailing APC, Shaibu Lawal declared that he’s the authentic acting chairman.
As it stands now, the ruling party is currently enmeshed in a new crisis as five are vying for the party’s national chairman position Giadom, Oshiomhole, Lawal and Ajimobi.
Further, in what is construed to be a ‘tug of war’, Abiola Ajimobi-led faction has upturned the cancelation of the Edo state governorship screening exercise that disqualified Godwin Obaseki which was earlier voided by Victor Giadom.
It’s confusion galore in APC barely 24hours after Governor Godwin Obaseki, his deputy, 14 lawmakers and 18 local government chairmen dumped APC for yet to be disclosed party.
