The Governor of Oyo State, Governor Seyi Makinde has given permission to religious centers in the state to resume, albeit, with guidelines provided by the Task Force, OYOGist.com has gathered.
This new announcement is coming on the heels of a sharp increase of confirmed positive coronavirus cases in Oyo State.
Governor Seyi Makinde had also instructed the State Secretariat workers at Agodi to resume effective June 22, 2020.

The Governor gave guidelines requiring churches to only operate at 25% capacity and follow the given guidelines of the State’s COVID-19 Task Force.
“Religious centres including mosques and churches may reopen but are to operate at no more than 25% capacity and follow guidelines provided by the Task Force,” Governor Seyi Makinde shared on Twitter, on Monday the 15th of June.
However, coronavirus cases are on the rise in Oyo State, as there were 68 (sixty-eight) confirmed POSITIVE COVID-19 cases in the state on the same Monday.
