Meanwhile, Adams Oshiomhole, the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from conducting any mode of primary in Edo state by a federal high court in Benin, on Monday.
The deputy chairman of the party, Pastor Kenneth Asemokhai and a governorship aspirant of the party, Matthew Iduoriyekemwen, sought the order of the court to prevent the party from using direct primaries to elect the Edo State governorship candidate of the party. Court was adjourned till June 11. Going by this ruling, the governorship primaries of the APC in Edo state slated for June 22 may not hold as scheduled.
