The Blues are interested in signing RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner this summer, as the Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is looking forward to add an attacking option up front.
Man United are also believe to be interested in signing the forward, with latest report suggesting Liverpool have dropped out of the race to sign the striker, being the front-runner before.
But Timo Werner’s representatives, has responded to Chelsea link, and have advised the Blues to forget about the 24 year old, that he had already agreed personal terms with Liverpool, and his heart is set on a move to Anfield this summer. Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is known to be a big fan of the striker and are the team who have been most strongly linked with his signature.
However, according to report from the Mirror Sport revealed last week, the two clubs are yet to find an agreement over a transfer fee, with Liverpool said to be unwilling to pay anything less than Werner’s £50m release clause.
Same source claim Chelsea are thought to have admitted defeat in the race for Werner, having accepted he is desperate to play under Klopp for the Premier League champions elect.
The 24-year-old has had a sensational campaign for RB Leipzig, scoring 25 goals in the Bundesliga and a further four in the Champions League.
