The head of the Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force, Governor Seyi Makinde, has revealed that the state has recorded 28 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on the 21st of May, 2020, OYOGist.com reports.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State to 190.
The Governor revealed that 27 of the 28 cases were recorded from iSON Xperience, the same company that has mass COVID-19 cases in the state.
He explained that the upside to the cases being recorded in Oyo State is that most of them are either asymptomatic or show mild symptoms, which implies that the cases, if properly managed, will recover without complications.
He however revealed that this also means most positive cases may infect others without knowing.
Since the announcement of the COVID-19 cases in iSON Xperience on the 16th of May, the number of confirmed cases has been on a steady climb in Oyo State.
