OYOGist.com has learned that Nigerian comic actor, Bayo Bankole, popularly known as Boy Alinco, has revealed that he missed certain things about Nigeria since he relocated to the United States of America (USA).
In a recently-held interview, the actor who became famous for his role in Wale Adenuga’s hilarious sitcom, Papa Ajasco and Company, disclosed that he missed enjoying the freedom he had in Nigeria.
According to him, nothing compares to the freedom that one enjoys in one’s country. “I miss my family and friends, I miss the freedom you deserve only in your fatherland. Ultimately I miss the unparalleled fun and culture,” he said.
The comic actor who left Nigeria some years ago debunked claims that he regrets being a Nigerian. “I can never regret being a Nigerian. They misquoted me. Nigeria is bigger than me and every Nigerian. I have never had any form of regret for being from Nigeria,” Alinco added.
Considering what dominates the media space over the past years, it is evident that Nigerian youths are increasingly restless; largely because of unemployment and under-employment. Thus, leaving the country to seek greener pastures elsewhere is the best option for survival for many.
