Confirmed Cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria

Earlier in the day, we reported that Nigerian Celebrity Couple, Funke Akindele and her husband, JJC Skills were attacked by Nigerians for hosting a birthday party at their Lekki home amidst the Coronavirus pandemic while flaunting the lockdown rules and social distancing regulations of Lagos State.

We now have updates from the Lagos State Commissioner of Police that Funke Akindele has been arrested or invited for questioning by the Lagos Police Command, while Naira Marley and others were advised to report to the Yaba Police Station or risk been declared wanted.

The Lagos State Government set 1-month imprisonment or N100,000 naira fine for flaunting the lockdown or social distancing laws of the state. While Akindele and her cohorts may not get the jail or fine, this would set an example that the state Government is serious about the COVID-19 pandemic.
