Akwa Ibom CP Locks Off Churches In Compliance To Stay At Home Order

OYOGist.com has learned that Akwa Ibom state Commissioner of Police, Mr Imohimi Edghal and the State Commissioner for Transport, Rt. Hon. Uno Etim Uno led other members of the lockdown compliance team to monitor compliance of government stay at home directive today.

In Abak raod, Uyo, Churches were forcefully lock off for defying the order of the State Governor to conduct their normal church service.

Some of the churches locked in Abak road by the team include, Saint Patrick Catholic Church and Hilltop Of Glory Church. Methodist Church of Nigeria located at Stadium road is also affected in the exercise.

Monitoring is still ongoing and the commissioner as warn every law abiding citizen to stay home and avoid violating government order which will as well help in protecting and keeping us safe from the dreaded Coronavirus pandemic.

The Honorable Commissioner for transport, Rt. Hon. Uno Etim Uno who is also a member of the inspection team in his response, urge us all to stay indoors as government are putting up effort to end this Covid19 pandemic.

This is the third day of the restriction order and Akwa Ibom State citizens are trying their best to cope for the safety of the state and every other persons leaving.
