Nigerians are reacting to the official twitter pages of Nigerian Ministry of Finance and that of President Buhari’s aid, Bashir Ahmed begging the billionaire founder of Tesla Motors and SpaceX for free ventilators, OYOGist.com has learned.

Earlier on Thursday, 2nd of April, 2020, Elon Musk tweeted that his company has some extra 1200+ FDA-Approved ventilators that he’d be sending out for free to health care centers and hospitals in need around the world.

The ventilators were said to have been bought from China after the country had no more use for them following a decrease in their positive COVID-19 patients and the company bought them from China.

The billionaire specified that the ventilators would only be sent to hospitals that needed them as a matter of urgency and not where they would be stored in warehouses.

As of the last record on the 1st of April 2020, Nigeria has recorded 174 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the country but was seen begging for 100s of the ventilators to be sent to Nigeria.

However, Nigerians have taken to social media to express their displeasure over what they see as “embarrassing” for Nigeria, the giant of Africa, begging for ventilators from Elon Musk.

OYOGist.com recalls that several billionaires in Nigeria have donated large sums of money to help fight the novel coronavirus in the country.
