Oyo To Procure 10 New Ambulances For State Health Sector

The Oyo state government has approved the procurement of 10 brand new modern ambulances for the state ministry of health as part of its efforts to restructure the health sector of the state.

The Oyo state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Bashir Bello, said this while briefing the governor’s office correspondents shortly after the Exco meeting, presided over by the Oyo state executive governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde.

Dr. Bello noted that three (3) of the newly purchased ambulances will be used to constitute the state medical emergency unit while the remaining 7 will be distributed to each of the administrative zone of the state.

Speaking on the activity of the state government to prevent the outbreak of coronavirus, the commissioner said the government has created a rapid response and monitoring department as watch-dog over the epidemic in Oyo state.

Dr Bashir Bello added that the Oyo state government has created 6 isolated areas in case of the Corona and other disease outbreak in the state.
