A tanker explosion that occurred on the Lagos Ibadan expressway has led to gridlock on roads leading to Ikeja, Ogba, Alomaja and Ojota.

The tanker explosion was said to have occurred after an articulated vehicle carrying flammable petroleum material fell off the bridge, bursting into flames.

The accident was reported to have happened on Tuesday, 25th of February.

Many road users have gone to social media to lament the torturous gridlock that the incident has caused.

Many have also condemned the construction company handling the project. Users have blamed Julius Berger for politicizing the project by creating unnecessary delays.
