Akpabio made the remarks during the commissioning of a newly completed road project in Abuja, where he lauded the Tinubu administration’s focus on delivering tangible developmental projects despite prevailing economic challenges.

He said the completion of the road reflects the government’s determination to improve transportation, stimulate economic activities, and enhance the quality of life for residents of the Federal Capital Territory.

The Senate President also commended Wike for what he termed his proactive leadership and dedication to executing infrastructure projects across Abuja. According to him, the pace of development witnessed under the current FCT administration demonstrates effective governance and prudent utilisation of public resources.

Speaking at the event, Akpabio noted that quality road infrastructure plays a crucial role in boosting commerce, reducing travel time, and opening up communities for investment and development. He expressed confidence that the administration’s ongoing projects would leave a lasting legacy and contribute significantly to national growth.

The commissioning attracted top government officials, lawmakers, political leaders, and residents, who described the road as a major improvement to the capital city’s transportation network. Many expressed optimism that similar projects would continue across other parts of the FCT.

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to completing ongoing infrastructure projects and initiating new ones aimed at improving mobility and public services.

He assured residents that the government would continue prioritising projects capable of delivering direct socio-economic benefits to the people.

The event formed part of a series of project inaugurations being undertaken by the Federal Government in Abuja, highlighting its broader agenda of expanding infrastructure and accelerating development across the country.
