A man with similar symptoms as those with the deadly coronavirus was reportedly seen in Lagos on Saturday, as reported by online users. They said the patient was immediately quarantined.
Last month, the World Health Organization(WHO) declared Coronavirus a global health emergency crisis, warning nations to gear up for the possibility of a breakout.
The WHO said the reason for the declaration was not because of China where the disease broke out from, but because of other countries with weaker health care systems.
In Lagos, Nigeria, a Twitter user has reported the presence of a man with slightly-similar symptoms as those seen in patients with the deadly virus was observed in a man that entered the country.
The report was first made by a Twitter user, Olúyẹmí Fásípè, and this was corroborated by other users who later said the man was dismissed because he did not test for the virus, and was not coughing.
Other users quickly came in to confirm the report, with many saying the man was discharged because he only had a mere cold.
The man was a traveler from China.
Some, however, wondered why flights from China were still accepted into the country, given how weak our healthcare system is.
