Al-Shabaab, an Islamist group from Somalia, has attacked a military camp in Lamu County of Kenya that is user by both the Americans and Kenya forces.
The terrorist group, al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack on Sunday, 5 January 2020. Al-Shabaab is an al-Qaeda affiliate group that opperates in Somalia.
The military installation they attacked is bordering Somalia and Kenya.
According to the terrorist group, the base was used by both Kenya and US military troops, and equipments owned by the US were destroyed in the attack.
There is yet to be any confirmation on casualties caused by the attack.
