BREAKING: Reports Claim Self-Proclaimed Prophet Ebo Noah Arrested in Ghana

Reports circulating online suggest that Evans Eshun, popularly known as Ebo Noah, has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service in connection with his viral prophecy predicting a catastrophic flood that failed to occur on December 25, 2025.

Multiple social media posts and some local pages shared images and claims that Ebo Noah was detained by the Inspector-General of Police’s Special Cyber Vetting Team and held for 72 hours without bail due to weekend rules.

Ebo Noah first gained widespread attention across Ghana and beyond for claiming he received divine instruction to build an ark in anticipation of a global flood, a prediction that drew significant public reaction, debate, and anxiety in the weeks leading up to Christmas.

OYOGist notes, however, that independent fact-checkers and verification platforms report that there is no official confirmation from the Ghana Police Service that Ebo Noah has been formally arrested or charged.

A fact-check by Dubawa found no police statement or recognised news report confirming the arrest, and no public record has been issued by official Ghanaian law enforcement at the time of publication.

The story remains unverified and developing — with conflicting claims circulating online. OYOGist will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates if and when authoritative sources confirm the details.
