Oyogist has learned that PwC Nigeria has collaborated with the organisers of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA), for the seventh edition.
The groundbreaking professional services firm announced the collaboration with AFRIMA as the activities for the 2021 edition were revealed during the week.
According to the President of AFRIMA, Mike Dada, it’s collaboration with PwC was necessary to ensure authenticity and give credibility to the vote-counting and results-distribution processes of the Music Awards coming up in November 2021.
PwC’s Femi Osinubi said, “Today’s audiences are far more socially connected, informed and empowered. With a little bit of information, they can detect and call out fraudulent schemes in no time. Accordingly, businesses must ensure the legitimacy of their practices. More importantly, award ceremonies like AFRIMA must follow strict protocol handling their balloting processes. They must handle these processes with the highest level of professionalism and trust.
