On Tuesday afternoon, former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo was spotted in Oyo state with the state governor, Engr Seyi Makinde.
Oyogist.com gathered the information on the official twitter handle of the governor @seyiamakinde on Tuesday while appreciating the presence of the former president. The governor wrote;
“We were honoured to receive our former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, who paid us a courtesy visit while attending a book launch in Ibadan. I seized the opportunity to tell him about some of the ways we are putting our people first especially in infrastructure development.
Chief Olusegun obasanjo who was welcomed by the governor and members of the executivecouncil of Oyo state explained that he is visiting the state to comiserate with the governor on the demise of his mother, latechief Abigael Omojolagbe Makinde.
He also commended Governor Makinde’s strides in developing Oyo state urging him to do more so the people across the zone can benefit from the dividends of democracy.
In his response , governor Seyi Makinde explained that the government is focused on its four cardinal point which include; Security , Agriculture, Health and Expansion of the Economy through Agribusiness.
He stated that the state is focused on revamping the Agricsector to cater for the needs of the people.
Governor Makinde then presented a gift to the former president of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjoas a token from his heart.
