According to report reaching OYOGist.com, the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has hinted a date to when the vaccine would be available.
The Director-General of NCDC, Chikwe Ihekweazu, said the centre had on Thursday held a virtual meeting with the African Centre for Disease Control, in which the centre informed them that there are several researches currently ongoing in Nigera fueled towards the discovery of a potent vaccine against Covid-19.
He noted that Nigeria currently records between 500 to 700 new cases of Covid-19 daily, this is different from what people predicted about a spike in the number of cases on Covid-19 in Nigeria. This he said had been made possible because of several intervention programs which have been aiming at reducing the spike of this disease.
The NCDC boss also revealed that a potent vaccine may be available within the next 6 to 12 months. This was contained in a publication made by the Nigera News desk.
