President Buhari has reacted to the news of a young Nigerian man in Japan who was praised in the media for showing honesty and forthrightness after returning a missing wallet in Japan, OYOGist.com has gathered.

Earlier in the week, news broke that one Nigerian, Mr Ikenna Nweke, who resides in Japan found a missing wallet that contained a substantial amount in cash but returned the wallet to the authorities.

Mr Ikenna Nweke’s deeds demonstrated honesty that most Nigerians are known for, but is not always in the news because of the acts of fraudsters such as Hushpuppi who was arrested in Dubai and extradited to the US.

Mr Ikenna Nweke is a Nigerian doctorate student at the University of Tsukuba, Japan.

Reacting to the news of Mr Ikenna Nweke’s deeds, President Buhari commended him for returning a missing wallet with huge sums of money to the police and also turning down the offer of a percentage by the authorities.
