Popular Nigerian writer and activist, Reno Omokri has reacted after several Nigerians dragged Angelique Kidjo’s for defeating WizKid and fela to win the Best Global Music Album at 2022 Grammy’s.
Angelique Kidjo’s won the category with her album, ‘Mother Nature’ emerging as viewers favourite, Oyogist reports.
However, Wizkid’s fans were disappointed after the Nigerian Afrobeats star failed and took to Kidjo’s social media page to vent their anger.

Reno omokri while reacting condemned Nigerians attitude towards the songstress.
According to him, ‘When I saw how Nigerians were more concerned with the Grammy awards and especially with bashing Angelique Kidjo (who is actually qualified to be a Nigerian citizen) than the widespread killings by terrorist in our country, I realized that buhari isn’t the only problem our country has!
“Let me shock some of you – Angelique Kidjo speaks fluent yourba. By Virtue of section 25 of the Nigeria’s constitution, Angelique Kidjo is a Nigerian, Reno said further.
“It shows the depth of ignorance for Nigerians to attack her for defeating Nigeria at the Grammy. Can Nigeria defeat Nigeria, he questioned.
