According to report reaching oyogist.com, the United States has reportedly donted N68.2 million naira worth of maritime security surveilance equipment to the Nigerian Navy.
Speaking at the equipment handover to the Nigerian Navy, the US Consul General, Claire Pierangelo, noted that the security surveilance equipment were part of the 2006 developed RMA.
The equipment is expected to help bolster the Nigerian Naval operations on the high sea against piracy, and also in then protection of Nigeria waterways.
The Nigerian Chief Staff Officer, Western Naval Command, Lagos, Rear Admiral Tanko Yakubu Pani, used the medium to thank and appreciate the security cooperation between Nigeria and the United States.
