Nigerian roads are of global standards – Babatunde Fashola

According to report reaching oyogist.com, the Nigerian Minutes of Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN) has reportedly stated that the roads in the country were constructed based on universal global standards.

Mr. Fashola noted this while speaking on the feats achieved by the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration in the transportation sector.

Mr. Fashion stated that polymer bitumen was used in the construction of the Lagos-Ibadan road instead of the common 60/70 bitumen due to is high quality and standard.

According to Mr. Fashola he stated that Nigeria doesn’t have a road standard of its own and that the standard used in the construction of the roads are universal standards.

“I think we don’t have our standards, roads are constructed to a universal global standard and those standards are not made by Nigeria, they are uniform standards.”

“You can have a minimum and a maximum, in many cases we have reached some maximum because of the quality of finishing they have applied,’’ Mr. Fashola said.
