OYOGist.com has learned that the United States has shown their concern towards Lekki toll plaza shooting. The united states government met with the vice president Yemi Osinbanjo on Thursday and showed their displeasure at the shooting of unarmed Protestant at Lekki toll plaza on Tuesday.

They also demand that the soldiers behind the shooting be brought to book, they also showed concern over the violence in Nigeria as well human rights violation.

They were also disappointed at the president’s failure to appreciate the magnitude of the threats which the protestants poses to national security, stability and unity.

The northern leaders also urged the government to show a determined effort at fighting the boko haram insurgency, banditry and kidnapping in the north, they also called on president Buhari to change the leadership and structures of the military and police in Nigeria.

The vice president stated that the right to peacefully assemble and freedom of expression of are fundamental human rights and core democratic principles.
