OYOGist.com has learned that the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS Ogun JCC) has applauded the efforts of the honourable commissioner of police in Ogun State – CP Edward Ajogun for ensuring absolute peace and stability in the state during the #ENDSARS protest held in the State.
This is contained in a Public Statement made available by the association in the state capital on Tuesday, 13th of October, 2020.
It could be noted that Youths across the nation engaged in a massive demonstration / protest to register their displeasure about killing of innocent Nigerian citizens by men of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) and tagged the protest #ENDSARS.
Ogun State was not an exception from the protest as youths from all axis in the state which include – Abeokuta, Sagamu, Ijebu, Yewa, Sango, Ifo etc also joined their counterparts across the nation in the nationwide protest.
Comrade Bamgbose Tomiwa Peter Chairman, NANS Ogun State; “We are very proud and happy about the way the Ogun state Police Command under the leadership of CP Edward Ajogun handled the protest with high level of professionalism with ensured there was no loss of life and little or no casualty contrary to what happened in some other states”.
National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) while commending the men of the Nigerian Police Force, also implored the necessary authorities in charge of regulating the mode of operation of the force to as a matter urgency make an absolute reformation of the Nigerian Police Force.
