Governor Commissions First Army University In Nigeria

According to report reaching OYOGist.com, the Nigerian Army is on track to be the first branch of the nation’s armed forces to boast of it’s own university. The ultra modern infrastructure was commissioned by the Borno state governor, Babagana Zulum in Burutai town, Biu local government.

The ultra modern institution was built by the the current army authority led by the chief of army staff, Lieutenant general Tukur Burutai. Among the structures commissioned by the governor is the Tukur Burutai institute for war and peace.

The occasion saw distinguished members of the public from all works of life in attendance. Dignitaries include the member representing Biu federal constituency in the federal house of representatives. The deputy governor of Borno state as well as other commissioners were also in attendance.

The governor reiterated his administration’s position in supporting the army in it’s ongoing fight against insecurity in the country. The army university in Burutai town will help in boosting both the physical and mental capacities of personnel of the armed forces.

Even though there have been some opposition from some members of the public, about the location of the pioneering institution, such institutions is highly vital in supporting the army. The location should not be an issue, but rather we should look at the benefits it has for the army in the fight against insurgency.
