The French International and La-Liga side, Real Betis midfield star Nabil Fekir has reportedly emerged as a shock transfer target for the Gunners. Despite having been strongly linked with Merseyside Reds in the past, French International made the surprise move to Betis earlier last summer, oyogist.com reports.
While Frenchman has managed to score seven times and contributed three assists from 22 La Liga games, the financial implications of the pandemic crisis may lead to Sevilla-based club Real Betis being readied to cash in on the 26-year-old player.
Reports also claimed that the Emirates Stadium outfit has enquired whether Fekir will be available in the upcoming transfer market, which is likely to come into the late of next month.
The report claims that the Arsenal regards the ex-Lyon man as a direct replacement for Ceballos, who is likely to make a return to Los Blancos after his loan period at the north London club.
A major problem could be Frenchman’s price tag likely to be in the region of £50m and out of the Arsenal’s reach at this time, however, if they somehow manage to secure place in the Champions League next campaign it could raise Mikel Arteta’s chances to receive increased funds for the summer transfer market.
