According to reports reaching OYOGist.com, a former investigator with the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC) has on Tuesday, June 30, been declared wanted by the commission for demanding and receiving bribes from suspects under investigation.

According to the ICPC in a statement on its website, the woman, Gloria Obioma Elih, has criminal charges filed against her before Justice Emmanuel Adeniyi of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court. She was charged for allegedly demanding and receiving bribes from officials of the Federal Ministry of Water Resources who were being investigated by the commission.

According to the ICPC, Elih, who is 44 years old and hails from Anambra State and whose last known address is El-Salem Estate in Lugbe, Abuja, was said to have evaded all efforts to serve her court papers.

It was gathered that Elih, who worked in the investigative department of the commission, was found to have collected some huge sum of money in foreign currencies in order to release four officials of the Federal Ministry of Water Resources.
