OYOGist.com has learned that Chelsea are preparing to work in a deal to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Arsenal this summer transfer window, if he becomes available.
It was reported that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is trying to lure the striker into signing a new deal with the Gunners. The Gabon striker is due to enter the final year of his current contract at Arsenal and so far hasn’t expressed any sign of extending his contract, leaving him open to a move away from the club.
It’s no secret that Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is keen on improving his frontlines by signing a quality forward to boost his team’s attacking threats, so a deal for Aubameyang would be more likely.
According to reports, Arsenal would be excited to let his contract run down if no team pays at least £20million for his signature this summer.
The Blues would be required to pay Arsenal at least £20million to sign Aubameyang this summer, which would be good bargain deal for a striker of his type
It’s left to be seen whether Arsenal could even allow him to join their rivals Chelsea or not, but both clubs do have a history of doing business with each other, with Arsenal selling Olivier Giroud to Chelsea, and signing David Luiz from them last summer.
