Prof. Abayomi maintained that Lagos State has made arrangements to begin a hydro-chloroquine trial for the treatment of Covid 19 patients in the state because Lagos State suspects that the peak will happen sometime in July or August and so we are preparing for the oncoming of about 90,000 to 120,000 cases during that period. We are increasing our capacity and strategies to deal with this situation.

He therefore urged the public not to be panic as the increase in cases everyday is due to the increase in sample collection across the 20 local governments of Lagos State.
